Position Details

Gaia is a subscription streaming platform with 8,000+ original programs focused on consciousness, spirituality, and personal transformation. With our AI chat feature launching in very soon, we need a Senior PM to expand our AI capabilities from a standalone feature into intelligent experiences woven throughout the platform.

This is a high-impact contract role where you’ll own the AI roadmap, ship 2-3 major features that drive retention, and define our long-term AI strategy. You’ll work with engaged members who seek transformation—not just content consumption—making this a unique opportunity to build AI that genuinely helps people grow.

Your 6-Month Mission:

• Optimize our new AI chat based on member feedback and usage data
• Expand AI integration across the platform (discovery, practice generation, knowledge synthesis)
• Ship 2-3 major AI features that demonstrably improve retention and engagement
• Establish metrics and frameworks for scaling AI development
• Identify strategic opportunities for future AI initiatives

• Drive AI Strategy & Execution: Own the AI roadmap from day one, balancing quick wins with foundational improvements. Bring fresh perspectives on how AI can transform conscious media experiences.
• Lead Platform Integration: Weave AI capabilities throughout the member journey—from content discovery to practice integration. Ensure seamless connection with our video platform, recommendation system, and upcoming Community features.
• Optimize Conversational AI: Evolve our AI chat experience based on real usage patterns, ensuring authentic interactions that respect the sacred nature of members’ spiritual journeys.
• Ship Member-Centric Features: Build additional AI capabilities that help members synthesize insights across content, generate personalized practices, and deepen understanding of complex teachings.
• Measure What Matters: Define and track retention-focused KPIs, and analyze performance data to identify which AI capabilities drive the most member value. Build the business case for where to focus future AI investments based on demonstrated ROI and impact.

• 7+ years of product management experience, including building AI/ML products
• Proven track record shipping and scaling conversational AI or LLM-based products
• Experience integrating AI into existing complex platforms with measurable impact on retention/LTV
• Strong technical understanding of AI systems and ability to work with data science/engineering teams
• Experience with subscription businesses and B2C platforms
• Data-driven approach with expertise in A/B testing and metrics
• Excellent stakeholder communication and cross-functional leadership skills
• Must work on-site in Louisville, CO

Preferred:

• Background in education, wellness, or content platforms
• Experience with video streaming or media companies
• Understanding of spiritual/consciousness content domains
• Familiarity with AI ethics in sensitive contexts
