We work with Founders as their institutional co-founder until their venture is a self sufficient organisation and ready to scale. The Mission
At build3, we believe that the next generation of unicorns will be built on the foundation of "Purpose + Profit." We work with nearly 400 early-stage founders annually, helping them transition from idea to impact.
We are looking for a powerhouse Chief Fundraising Officer to lead our capital strategy. This is a dual-track role: you will be responsible for raising our $15-20M studio fund to deploy pre-seed checks into 50 startups a year, while simultaneously acting as a strategic advisor to our founders as they navigate their own external funding journeys.
Your mission, should you choose to accept

1. Studio Fundraising (The $20M Goal)
- Narrative Crafting: Build a compelling investment case for build3. You’ll turn our impact and data into a "must-invest" story for LPs.
- Lp Mapping & Outreach: Identify and engage with a diverse range of capital sources—Domestic and International VCs, Family Offices, Impact Funds, and CSR arms.
- Full-Cycle Management: Own the pipeline. From the first "hello" to the final signature, you’ll manage the CRM, due diligence, and closing process.
2. Founder Enablement (The Portfolio Guide)
- The "Fundraising Coach": Guide our portfolio founders in building their own narratives, pitch decks, and financial models.
- Capital Diversification: Help founders tap into non-dilutive capital (grants, CSR) as well as traditional equity (Angels, VCs).
- Network Access: Open doors. Leverage your existing network to create a steady "investor-readiness" pipeline for our 50 annual pre-seed companies.
Who You Are
- A Master Storyteller: You can take complex impact metrics and turn them into a high-octane growth narrative.
- The "Process" Nerd: You live in your CRM (HubSpot, Pipedrive, or similar). You know that fundraising is a game of momentum, follow-ups, and diligent tracking.
- Ecosystem Fluent: You understand the Indian startup landscape (-1 to 1) and have an existing rolodex of angels, VCs, and impact investors.
- Impact-First: You genuinely care about "purpose" and can articulate why profit and planet/people are not mutually exclusive.
What You Can Expect From Us
- For sufficiently qualified candidates compensation is fixed upto INR 1 Lakh + profit share (similar to carried interest), applicable for professionals with 8–12+ Years in VC, Investment Banking, or Impact Finance. For candidates with lower experience but strong potential, compensation will be adjusted in line with risk and expected growth.
- Support in finding a temporary landing pad in Goa during your time here. Access to our shared dorm-style accommodation at no additional cost (if you are comfortable with shared living spaces).
