What You’ll Be Doing

• Own development of medium-to-large features, ensuring accountability and quality from concept to release.

• Write performant, testable, and maintainable code across improvements, user-facing features, and bug fixes.

• Partner with product managers and designers in cross-functional discussions to translate requirements into elegant solutions.

• Propose and design creative approaches to challenging problems, contributing to product direction and feature design.

• Collaborate with an agile, distributed team of developers and QA engineers—sometimes leading, sometimes supporting, but always contributing to team success.

• Continuously optimize app performance, stay up to date with modern Android practices, and champion best-in-class engineering standards.

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of professional Android development experience, including publishing and maintaining apps in production.

• Expert-level proficiency with Kotlin, Gradle, Android Studio, and Jetpack Compose.

• Strong grasp of Android architecture, design patterns (MVVM, MVI, etc.), and unit testing frameworks.

• Solid understanding of version control (Git), CI/CD practices, and modern development workflows.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—you can articulate complex ideas clearly, influence decisions, and thrive in cross-functional teams.

• A collaborative, growth-minded approach—passionate about learning, sharing ideas, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible on Android.

This is a contractor 1099 position with the potential to transition to FTE.

$80 - 110/hour DOE and location. Please note that we are only considering applicants in North America (United States, Canada, and Mexico).
